Obituary 
 
 The death of Elizabeth, relict of the late Aaron B. Brush, occurred at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. Edison E. Reynolds, on Saturday morning last.
 Mrs. Brush was born in Connecticut in 1809.  When she was quite young her 
parents removed to this State and settled near Canastota.  She was twice 
married; in 1835 to Reuben Foote who died in 1842, and to A. B. Brush in 1854
who died in 1878.  She had two brothers and  three sisters.  Of these Mrs. 
Sylvanus Stroud is the only survivor.  She was a consistant member of the 
Methodist church for nearly forty years, a kind and devoted wife and mother; 
kind to the poor; living for others rather than self.  The funeral was held 
at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. M. B. Wells, her pastor 
officiating.  Interred in Lenox Rural Cemetery.
