Dick D. Burleson
Dick D. Burleson, 74, of Siloam Road, died Monday afternoon, May 3, 1999 at
his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on November 21, 1924, in the Town of Lincoln, the son of
Cassious and Jane Lawton Burleson. He was a lifelong resident of the area,
and was educated in Morrisville schools.
Prior to his retirement in November of 1990, he was employed with
Munnsville Limestone Corporation for 10 years. Previously, Mr. Burleson was
employed with the Snyder Construction Corporation for 34 years.
Mr. Burleson served with the National Guard for several years, following
active duty during World War II.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-laws, Timothy and Mary Burleson
of Canastota, Paul and Audrey Burleson of Munnsville, Stanley Burleson of
Deland, Fla. and Michael and Kim Burleson of Garden Grove, Calif.; one brother,
Stewart Burleson of Farmington, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. Sam (Katherine) Barletta
of Durhamville, Fredericka Bielasz of Escondida, Calif., Marjorie Smith of Bridge
City, Calif., Betty Vandermark of St. Louis Park, Minn., Ruth Homets of Oneida;
16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
