ONEIDA - Charles R. Sorensen, 61, of 22(?) Hubbard Place, died early 
Saturday morning, Nov. 27, 1999, at his residence, following an illness of 
several months. 
 
He was born June 28, 1938, in Oneida, the son of Richard and Pauline 
Woolverton Sorensen. 
 
He was a lifelong resident of Oneida. 
 
Mr. Sorensen was a 1957 graduate of Canastota High School and was a peacetime
veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. 
 
Mr. Sorensen had been employed with WalMart in Oneida, since its opening, in 
the sporting goods department. 
 
In earlier years, he was affiliated with his father in Dick Sorensen's 
Paving and for several years was employed with Ulster Paving. 
 
Surviving are two sons, Richard Sorensen of Connecticut and Jason Sorensen 
of Oneida; his mother of Oneida; two brothers, Harold and Peter Sorensen 
both of Canastota; one sister, Judy Hudson of Sherrill; and several nieces 
and nephews.
