  Curtis Judson, 83, of 344 Lenox Ave., Oneida, formerly of 6649 Lakeshore 
Road, Verona Beach, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999 in the Oneida Healthcare 
Center Extended Care Facility, where he had been a resident since June 21, 
1999. 
  Mr. Judson was born on May 18, 1916 in Canajoharie, the son of Curtis and 
Elizabeth Frost Judson. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and 
Syracuse University. 
  He married Etta Mae Barnes on Sept.18,1939 in Rupert, Vt. Mrs. Judson died 
on Feb. 7, 1997. They were residents of Rome from 1945 to 1957 when they 
moved to Verona Beach and then to Oneida in 1995. 
  Mr. Judson was employed as sales manger for Jays Sales and Service in 
Camden for 12 years, retiring in 1981. He was previously employed with A.F. 
Ryan and Sons in Oneida for 20 years. 
  Mr. Judson served with the Army Air Corps as a Master Sergeant with the 
491st Bomb Squadron from 1942 to 1945. He participated in the Battle of 
Normandy and other Air Offensives in the European Theater. 
  Mr. Judson was a member of the Sylvan Beach Union Chapel. 
  Surviving are one stepson and daughter-in-law, WEilliam and Eileen McBean 
of Myrtle Beach, S.C., one sister, Ruth Craver of Canajoharie; three 
grandchildren, Nancy Vanzetta of Brockport Stuart D. McBean of Henrietta and
W. Brett McBean of Fulton; four great-grandchildren; two nieces and one 
nephew.
