Carl Joseph Allen 
 
 NAPLES,Fla. Carl Joseph Allen, 72, of Naples, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999. 
 He was born April 5, 1927, in Durhamville, N.Y., the son of Carl Seibel and 
Sarah Dunne Allen. 
 He married Mary Jane Hatch on June 26, 1948. The couple celebrated their 
50th wedding anniversary last year. 
 Mr. Allen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. 
 He attended Utica College and took several sales and marketing courses from 
Harvard, Rutgers and NYU. 
 For many years, Mr. Allen was chain sales manager for Cole National Corp. in
Cleveland, Ohio. He and a friend built a company called Allied Plastics Inc. 
of Gastonia, N.C. Mr. Allen was executive vice-president and, when the 
company was sold in 1986, he retired to Naples. 
 Before retiring, the Allens lived in Oneida, N.Y., West Alexander, Pa. and 
for more than 30 years in Marion, Ohio. 
 Mr. Allen was active in the Naples-Marco Antique Car Club, the Model T Ford 
International, the Lincoln Owners Club, the Road Race Lincoln Club and the 
Buick Club. 
 He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose and the Elks Lodge. 
 Mr. Allen attended St. Williams Catholic Church. 
 Surviving are his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Beth and Jerry 
Kinzler of Maitland and Donna Jean and David Zolkiewski of Calgary, Alberta, 
Canada; two sons and daughters-in-law, C. Bradford and Rita Allen of 
Frederick, Md. and Leroy Jon and Shirley Allen of Gastonia, N.C.; one sister,
Alyce Rose Miller of Pendelville, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and two great- 
grandchildren.
