ONEIDA — Brady Riley, 52, 459 E. Walnut St., died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, in 
the Village of Copake, while visiting in the area. 
 
He was born on Jan. 17, 1947, in Auburn, Ala., the son of Benjamin and 
Alice Slaughter Riley, Sr. He was a resident of the Oneida area since early 
childhood. Mr. Riley was a graduate of Oneida High School. 
 
Mr. Riley was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the United States 
Army for two tours of duty in Vietnam. 
 
He was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church, a member of the Order of
the Owls, Oneida Nest 1606, and the American Legion, Canastota Post 140. 
 
Surviving are his mother of Canastota; three brothers, Benjamin Riley of 
Oneida, Gregory Riley of New Haven, Conn., Alien Riley of Lebanon; five 
sisters, Tonja Olds of Rochester, Bennie Marie Tarnow of Evanston, III., 
Sherry Linton of California, Mary Alice Hopson of Windsor, Conn. and Jessie 
Davis of Columbia, S.C.; one step-daughter, Christine Snyder of Utica; three 
step-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tristan and Alexander Snyder and several nieces 
and nephews.
