  Beatrice L. Harosia, 61, 3689 Carter Road, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 24,
1999, in the Rome Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for the past 
two months. 
  She was born on Feb.6, 1938, in Rome, the daughter of Henry and Catherine 
Whalen Kipp. Mrs. Harosia was educated in the Holland Patent schools. 
  She married Joseph J. Harosia on Feb. 27, 1954, in St. Leo's Church, 
Holland Patent. 
  Mr. and Mrs. Harosia had resided in Canastota for the past 12 years, moving
from Taberg. 
  Mrs. Harosia assisted her husband in the ownership and operation of their 
family farms. She was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church and a member of 
the church's Prayer Group and Bible Study Group. 
  Surviving are her husband; nine sons and eight daughters-in-law, David 
Harosia of Blossvale, Joseph and Georgia Harosia, Peter and Bonnie Harosia, 
Isaiah and Tina Harosia and Jeremiah and Heather Harosia, all of Taberg, Leo 
and Viola Harosia of Anchorage, Alaska, Raymond and Loretta Harosia of New 
London, Moses and Pamela Harosia of North Bay and Elia and Marsha Harosia of 
Sylvan Beach; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Richard Douglas and 
Rita and Kevin Schwaetz, all of Taberg, Theresa and Gary Olmsted of Oneida 
and Rebecca and Stephen Hoffman of Morrisville; one sister, Eleanor Martin of
Floyd; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and 
nephews.
