Arthur W. Hilts, 67, of Lot 11 Candy Lane, Eaton, died Thursday at home. He was born in Canastota. He 
lived many years in Chittenango and in Eaton since 1990. He retired in 1980 as a well driller after 27 
years with Lee Bates & Sons Well Drilling, Rome. He was a member of Eaton Community Bible Church. A son, 
Kelly, died previously. Survivors: His wife of 24 years, the former Joyce A. Remington; a daughter, 
Candey Hilts at home; four sons, Douglas of Oriskany, Dennis of West Edmeston, Randy of Oneida, and Wade;
a sister, Irma Hilts of Ontario, N.Y.; seven grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. today at J. Homer Ball 
Funeral Home. Burial, Whitelaw Cemetery. Calling hours, noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, 201
