"Monuments and Cenotaphs"

This document presents an inventory of known listings around the internet of cemeteries, monuments and the like that fall within the boundaries of the Little Nine Partners patent. My priority will be to list those pages that include listings of interments. Some other grounds without known listings will be included as deemed appropriate.

In some cases, the same ground is listed by more than one site. I will list all of them insofar as they are not straight copies of each other. I have found that this can help spot discrepancies in the transcriptions.

If the linked page provides no or incomplete location information, I will provide this if I know it. It is my intent to visit each site with a GPS receiver and record here the exact map coordinates, which will be noted by the presence of this symbol:

Town of Milan

Ferris Lane, Milan. Abandoned, but being maintained. No listing.

County Rte 56 (Turkey Hill Rd.), west of Jackson Corners. Abandoned and not being maintained. No listing. Marker.

411 Milan Hollow Rd, Milan.

Morehouse La., between Lafayetteville and Rock City. CONDITION: Overgrown and deserted.

On NY Rte 199, near Rowe Rd., opposite Rowe Methodist church. CONDITION: In good order.

About three miles south of Lafayetteville, on the upper Wilcox farm. CONDITION: In an open field.

The churchyard, Shookville Rd, just north of St Paul Rd, Rock City.

Batenfeld Rd., about 1/4 mi. west of County Rte 54, Rock City (PRIVATE PROPERTY)

About three miles south of Lafayetteville, on the lower Wilcox farm. (1914) In Wilcox Park, near the beginning of the camping area, atop a small knoll next to the road.

About three miles north of Lafayetteville, on the farm of Henry Killmer. (1914)

About three miles east of Lafayetteville, at the foot of Hicks' Hill, on the Wirehouse farm. CONDITION: On a knoll in an open field. [GPS location approximate]

Yeoman's Cemetery is between Pine Plains and Red Hook in the hamlet of Lafayetteville. It is located off the Taconic Parkway 1/4 mile south of NY Rte 199 on the West side of the parkway. (1310 Willowbrook Rd, owner: Lafayette Cemetery Association)
CONDITION: Thickly overgrown but occasionally used within recent years.
ACCESS: From the West, via abandoned road/trail from Willow Brook Rd.
Do NOT attempt to access from the Parkway! Not only is this dangerous, it is illegal!

This monument has been moved. It now sits on the roadside at the intersection of Bethel Cross Rd and Strever Farm Rd, in the hamlet of Bethel.

Town of Rhinebeck

NY Rte 308 just west of the intersection with NY Rte 199 in Rock City. The ground is bisected E-W by the line between the towns of Red Hook and Rhinebeck.
