TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR THE "AMERICA" CONCERT AT THE STANLEY THEATER IN UTICA!
Concert Date - Friday, May 11, 2018 * CALL THE STANLEY BOX OFFICE AT 315-724-4000.

We are excited to partner with The Stanley Theater to present the 1970s iconic band "America" for a Fundraising Concert on May 11, 2018. They are best known for their hits "Ventura Highway," "Sister Golden Hair," "Horse With No Name, "You Can Do Magic," and many more! Ticket prices are $35, $45 and $65 and can be purchased at The Stanley Box Office at 315-724-4000.

We are venturing into this major fundraiser to help raise monies for a large renovation project that is needed for our 1884 Suiter Building next year. We need to repair the bricks on the exterior of the building that are coming loose and are missing. The cost to repair just the affected areas is $44,000. We are hoping to raise enough monies from this concert to then apply for a matching grant that will help us fund this repair.

Buying a ticket to the "America" concert is Investing in the "Historic Four Corners" to help us maintain our Suiter Museum Building! Come join us on this historic evening and relive the memories!

Everyone will receive a "Passport of Savings" full of special offers and discounts. To end the day, we will stop at the famous "Lights on the Lake," a memorable 2 mile drive-thru show along Ondonaga Lake featuring animated arches and scenes. $40.00/person

WORLD WAR 1 CENTENNIAL EXHIBIT AND BANNER PROJECT.

2017 marks the Centennial anniversary of the United States involvement in The Great War (1914-1919). On April 2, 1917, President Woodrow Wilson asked congress to declare war on Germany with the impetus of unrestricted submarine warfare involving American ships. Thank you to our excellent team of volunteers - Mary Haefele, Kathy Huxtable, Caitlyn Johndrew, Barb Kineke, Fran Peruzzi, Margaret Sinclair, and Iva Trevett - for helping us research and make preparations for our exhibit.

NEW EXHIBIT - "HERKIMER COUNTY IN THE GREAT WAR."
Come learn about Herkimer County's involvement in the Great War. We have one room dedicated to local military unit Company M based out of the Mohawk Armory. Learn what they did on the home front to help the war effort. The exhibit is open during our open hours of Monday-Friday, 10-4, and during the summer on Saturday's, 10-3, starting July 8 until the end of August.

BANNER PROJECT - We are working on a Banner Project that will feature the picture of a World War 1 soldier from Herkimer County and hang on poles in the community they lived. We'd like them to hang from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. If you might be interested in sponsoring a banner, please let us know! The cost is $70.00 per banner. We are working with Bob Critser of CAD Designs who has designed the memorial banner. There will be room on the bottom to put the sponsor's name.

DO YOU HAVE A WORLD WAR 1 VETERAN IN THE FAMILY?
We are looking for pictures and information about Herkimer County WW1 veterans to feature on our Facebook page. If you have a photo, please send a copy to us via email at herkimerhistory@yahoo.com or stop in to the Society, Monday-Friday, 10-4, and we will scan the photo.

NEW EXHIBIT - "WOMEN SUFFRAGE IN HERKIMER COUNTY"
