At
a Meeting of the inhabitants of East Windham convened agreeable to the Act
entitled “An Act for the incorporation of religious Societies passed April 5th
1813 Elders Samuel Bagley and Harry R. Avery were chosen to preside at Said
Meeting Whereon Resolved, That the Society Shall forever be know and
distinguished by the name of the 2nd Presbyterian Society of Windham
& as such be incorporated.
That the said Society proceed to elect Three Trustees whose duty it Shall
be to serve as such in said Society Where upon Samuel Atwater, Harry R. Avery
Lemuel Hitchcock were duly elected Trustees of said Society to be forever
known & distinguished as Trustees of the 2nd Presbyterian Society
of Windham.
We
the undersigned presiding & Elders of said Meeting do hereby certify that
the above named Trustees were duly elected to serve and be known as trustees of
said 2nd Presbyterian Society of Windham
