November 23rd 1836 The Consistory of the 2nd Reformed Dutch Church of Coxsackie met in the Basement of the church at which time the following resolutions were adopted.
Resolved that we will confide the management and care of the temporal concerns of the church to a Board of trustees seven in number agreeably to act of legislature introduced Feb. 1835.
Resolved that this our determination be signed by the President and Clerk of Consistory with the seal of the church thereto affixed and that the same be acknowledged by the President of Consistory before some person authorized to take acknowledgment of deeds and the same be recorded in the office of the County Clerk in the book of records relative to religious incorporations or other proper book of records.
