State of New York and County of Greene
We the undersigned, two of the members of the Church or congregation hereinafter mentioned, do hereby certify, that on the fourteenth day of October instant, the male person, of full age, belonging to a church in which divine worship is celebrated according to the rites of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and of other orthodox denominations, and which is not already incorporated, met, at the place of public worship heretofore occupied by the said Church or congregation, at Palenville, in the town of Catskill, in said County, for the purpose of incorporating themselves and did then and there elect, by plurality of voices Ornan Peck, Samuel I. Griffin, Egbert Bogart, William D. Post and John Goodwin, as trustees for the said church, and the said persons did then and there also determine, by the like plurality of voices, that the annual meeting, of said church or congregation for the election of officers, be held on the second Saturday evening of October, of each year, and that the said trustees and their successors should forever hereafter be called and Known by the name or title of “The Trustees of the Union Church of Palenville” Witness our hands and seals this fourteenth day of October 1871.In the
