Greene County} ssWe the undersigned two of the congregation hereafter mentioned
do herby certify that on the 15th day of June 1858 all male persons
of full age belonging to a congregation in which divine worship is celebrated
according to the rites of the Methodist Episcopal church & not already
incorporated and it is the place of
Public worship hereafter occupied by the said congregation aforesaidat the village of L____ town of Durham in said county for the purpose
Incorporating themselves and did there & then elect by plurality of votesCharles W. Pierce, Isaac Ulster, James N. Welch, Israel Utter, William
Paddock as Trustees of said church & the said persons did then & there
also determine by that plurality of votes this the said Trustees & their
successors should forever hereafter be called & known by the name & title of
the Trustees of Oak Hill Methodist Episcopal Church
