Leeds  Nov. 26 1857  Pursuant to notice a meeting of the Methodist Episcopal Church & congregation was held at the school house in the Village of Leeds, County of Greene State of New York, to elect a board of Trustees for said church 

Revd. Thomas Lodge opened the meeting with prayer On motion    Revd. Thomas Lodge was appointed chairman of the meeting. On motion resolved that  Nelson Wright & William Fowks be &  hereby chosen to inspect the votes.  It was on motion resolved that the number of five be fixed upon as a board of Trustees.  It was voted that Nelson Wright, Joel D. Comfort, William H. Hunter, William Fulligan & James Ingraham be & are hereby elected as a board of Trustees for the Methodist Episcopal Church each receiving the number of votes required that purpose. The votes were J. H. Milburn? , James King, William Fulligan, D. H. Knowles, Charles Holt, T. Fulton, Joel D. Comfort, James Ingraham, William Fowks, Thomas Schofield, Nelson Wright.

A motion pursuant that the meeting now adjourn.

Greene County  ss    On the 12th day of March 1857 before me personally appeared William Fowks & Nelson Wright  to me known to be the individual described in  & who executed the within instrument & they severally & each for himself acknowledged that they executed the same.
