At the New York Tannery, A meeting of a number of Inhabitants of the town of Hunter legally warned was holden on the first Monday in March 1824 for the purpose of forming a Religious Society in Said town, William Edwards and Harry R. Avery Elders of the Presbyterian Society in Said town presided   When Harlow Perkins, William Edwards, John Lockwood, Harry R. Avery, William Green, and Charles D. Hedden were chosen trustees of the proposed Society; Voted that the Society shall be called and known by the name of the “Presbyterian Society of Hunter”--

County of Greene  }  SS   On the 4th day of Nov. 1824 before me Munson Buel a Judge of the County Court of Greene County Personally came John Lockwood to me known and on his oath did Say that he is a subscribing witness to the written Certificate that he is personally Acquainted with the within named William Edwards and Harry R. Avery and knew them to be the elders of the Presbyterian Church in the town of Hunter in Said County and saw them set their hands and seals to the Said instrument, which being to me satisfactory evidence that they did execute the Same.  I do allow it to be recorded
