We the subscribers having been chosen presiding officers & judges of an election of Trustees for the first Christian Church of Greenville at a regular meeting published according to the requirements of the statute of this state held at the Christian Chapel in the town of Greenville in the County of Greene on Thursday the seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty three do hereby certify that the following persons were duly elected  “trustees for the first Christian Church & society” in Greenville by the numerous votes of the meeting Vis   Abel Blackman, Leonard Yoemans Darius Winans Joshua Nets(?)  Ebeneser Jennings & Philip Hawver said trustees  and their successors are to be known & designated by the name of “Trustees of the first Christian Church & society in Greenville in witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names & affixed our seals at Greenville  November 1833
