This is to Certify to all to whom it may concern. That on the first Thursday in December 1816 a No. of the Inhabitants of the Town of Windham & Durham convened at the home of Cornelius Fuller _____ to an adjournment and a legal notification & after organizing  by appointing Obed Hervey & Herman Hervey  Directors to superintend the Election by plurality of voices  chose Cornelius Fuller,  Zeba Clark, Calib Haight Trustees of Union society of Windham & Durham which society was formed in Union of the Different Denomination in that place for the purpose of building a Meeting house near Cornelius Fuller's to be free for all Denomination of Christians to be governed by Rules of Decorum adopted by the Society this done by order & in behalf of this Society.

On the 28th day of December 1816 before me Thomas E. Barker one of the Judges of the said County appeared Obed Hervey & Harmon Hervey who acknowledged that the above certificate had been executed by them for the uses & purposes therein Mentioned & I do allow the same to be Recorded.  Thomas E. Barker
