We the subscribers members of the Methodist Episcopal Congregation of Coxsackie of Coxsackie Greene county and state of New York certify that a meeting was held pursuant to notice given according to the provisions of the revised statutes in such case made and provided in the basement of the Dutch Reformed Church on the 9th Sept 1836 and Daniel Holmes Jr. and Richard Rowell were unanimously nominated to preside at the said meeting who upon ordering and canvassing the votes of the Electors present, found that by the largest numbers of votes Patrick Stephenson Jason Wells, and Stewart Austin were duly chosen trustees of said congregation to be known by the name and title of the Trustees of the first Methodist Episcopal Church of Coxsackie.

of September 1836 before Dorrance Kirtland first Judge
of the said county came Moses(?) H. Powell the subscribing witness to the
above instrument and after being by me first duly sworn testified that he resides in
the town of Coxsackie in the said county of Greene and that he said
Daniel Holmes Junior and Richard Rowell acknowledged that they executed
the above instrument as their voluntary act and deed for the
uses and purpose therein mentioned.
