We the Undersigned hereby certify that the following notice was publickly given at the School house herein described on the first, second, third and forth Sabbaths in this present month to the Congregation there stated by attending public worship by Edward Coats the officiating minister of said Congregation—To wit

Notice is herby given to all the male persons full of "age who statedly attend public worship at he School House "near Caleb Townsend said School house near a place on "the Little Delaware Turnpike Road" half a mile south east of the foot of Cats Kill mountain / that on the last Thursday of this present month (August) a meeting will be held at the said School house to commence at two o’clock in the afternoon for the purpose of electing not less than three nor more that nine Trustees and of doing all other acts of things necessary to be done in order to incorporate a religious Society in the neighborhood of said School house whose authority shall extend four miles in every direction from said place on said Turnpike Road agreeable to and as far as comports with An Act of the legislature of the State of New York entitled "An Act to provide for the incorporation of Religious Societies" passed 27 March 1801 and that on the said last Thursday in said month being the next Thursday succeeding the last Sabbath on which said notice was given as aforesaid & a meeting was held to said notice.—and that for wants of Elders or Church wardens / Merchant Lawrence and Justus Blanchard members of the said Congregation were unanimously nominated by the members present of said Congregation to provide a the above notified election and to be the returning officers for making returns according to Law and that Joseph Allen, Amos Eaton, Benjamin Peck, John Ramson, Peter P. Sax, Frederick J. Smith, Neri Stoddard, Caleb Townsend and Hezekiah Wynkoop were then and there duly elected trustees according to the above mentioned statute Law And it was ten and there unanimously agreed that the name and title by which said Trustees and their successors shall for every hereafter be Known and called shall be and were hereby certify the same to be The Trustees of Cats Kill Mountain Society"

Be it remembered that on the third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Six Personally appeared before me Samuel Van Vechten one of the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas in and for the County of Greene Thomas Waight to me known who being sworn Saith that he is acquainted with Merchant Lawrence and Justus Blanchard and that he saw them severally execute the within Instrument by signing sealing the same as his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and I have examined the same and finding no erasures interlineations or obliterations do allow the same to be recorded.
