In pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of New York entitled “an Act to Provide for the incorporation of Religious Societies “ passed the 27th day of March 1801 – The Members of the Society commonly called the Presbyterian Society in the Village of Cats kill convened at the court house in said Village on the fifth day of March 1807 after due Legal notification, for the purpose of forming themselves into a society conformable to said act, when the Subscribers were chosen to preside in said meeting and Judge of the qualification of the Electors – who here by certify that the following persons were chosen Trustees by the name of title of “Trustees of Christ Church of Cats Kill and were classed in the following order to wit, Thomas B. Cook, to serve one year, Stephen Day & William Brown to serve two years, Thomas Hale & Richard Hill to serve for three years.
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand & seals the fifth day of March one-thousand eight hundred seven.

Be it remembered that on the twelfth day of March one thousand eight hundred & seven personally appeared before me Samuel Van Vechten one of the Judges of the Court of Common pleas in and for the County of Greene Thomas Hale & Nathan Elliot to me hereupon? Personally who severally acknowledged to have executed the written instrument by signing sealing & delivering the same as their voluntary act deed to and for the purposes therein mentioned – and I do certify that I am satisfied that the said Thomas Hale & Nathan Elliot are the same persons who executed the said Instrument and I have examined the same & find no material Erasures interlineations or obliterations and do allow the same to be recorded.
