At
a meeting of the members of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the west part of
the town of Catskill in the County of Greene (previous lawful notice having been
given) convened at the House of Charles Crapser---Jacob C. Barringer & Neely
Lawrence were chosen to preside at said meeting. The votes having been called
for Trustees the following persons were duly elected, having the highest number
of votes Viz—Charles Crapser, Jacob C. Barringer, Elijah Brandow, Neely
Lawrence & Eleazer Collins to be Called & Known by the name of
the “Trustees of the Second Methodist Episcopal Church in the town of
Catskill—which will be known by the name of
“the Wesleyan Chapel”
We
certify the above to be correct & true in all respects.
Given under the hands & seals this 31st day of January
1825.
