Cairo Tuesday 21 August 1832

At a meeting of the male members of the Methodist Episcopal Church at their church in the village of Cairo and county of Greene, for the purpose of reorganizing a board of trustees for said church (after said meeting and its object had been duly published according to law).  The Rev. David Poor called to the chair and James H. Lyon appointed Sec.  The question how many Trustees are requisite, came before the meeting, on motion it was carried unanimously that the number be five.   The gentlemen elected were the following viz,  for one year Olford Lockwood—two years, Walter Mead, Peter Fiero – three years – William Green, John Pine Jun.   Trustees

Greene to wit -  on the 3rd day of September 1832 David Poor within named acknowledged before me that he signed the within instrument, and being by me duly sworn did depose that he knows Jas H. Lyon and saw him sign the within instrument -   I allow it to be Recorded
