The following records of the family of John Klein are transcribed from
his personal copy of James Boys’ A Practical Exposition upon the Thirty-Nine Articles of the Church of
England (London: Printed for Thos. Caldecott, 1716).
The book bears Klein’s bookplate, which reads: “The Property of/ John
Klein./ Athens, (N. Y.)” The
blank parts of three pages (28, 36 and 73) have been used by Klein to record
family information. These records
overlap with those recorded in Klein’s family bible.
