To the Surrogate’s Court of the County of Greene:

The petition of Edwin M. Lennon of the town of Cairo in the County of Greene respectfully showeth:

That Cyrenus Lennon died at his residence in the town of Cairo in the County of Greene, on or about the 22nd day of March 1892, being at the time of his death a resident of the said county of Greene; that the said deceased left no Will, as far as your petitioner has heard or been able to discover; that he left surviving: Your Petitioner, his oldest son of full age residing in the Town of Cairo, Greene County, N.Y., Delila Stead, daughter of said deceased, residing in the Town of Cairo, Greene County, N.Y., Mary Elizabeth Howard, daughter of said deceased residing in the Town of Cairo,, Greene County, N.Y.; that the said deceased died leaving no other son or daughter or widow him surviving.

And your petitioner further showeth that the said decendent died possessed of certain personal estate within this State, which said personal estate does not exceed in value the sum of $200.--. That your petitioner is the son of the said deceased.

That no Petition for a grant of Letters of Administration upon said estate has been filed in any Surrogate’s Court of this State.

Your Petitioner therefore prays that Letters of Administration of the goods, chattels and credits of said deceased may be granted to your petitioner.

Edwin M. Lennon the above-named petitioner being first duly sworn, says the foregoing petition is true of his own knowledge, except as to the matters therein stated to be alleged on information and belief, and as to those matters he believes it to be true.
