
The 1998 Nation Convention of Palatines to America, A German Genealogical Society, will be held June 11,12 and 13, 1998 at the Holiday Inn in Kingston, NY just off I87 (NY Thruway) exit # 19. Palatines to America rate for a double room, $79.00 per night. Dial 1-800-Holiday for reservations.
The main speaker will be Hank Jones, who will give three speeches, one each day, commencing Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Other speakers will be Peter Christoph speaking on "The Importance of The Hudson River in Early Palatine Settlement", Karen Gross "Life in a Dorf: Farming the Palatine, the Rev. David Webber "Pastors among the Palatines", Mel Wolfgang -"To The Honorable Board of Supervisors" - How to Find and use Obscure and Uncommon Records of Local Governments, and C. R. Jones - Slide Talk on History of Gravestones.
There will be optional bus tours on Thursday afternoon and Saturday afternoon if there is sufficient interest. One tour will be of Ulster county, including a stop at the Senate House in Kingston. The second tour will be a tour of Columbia County, including a stop at Claremont.

Regular monthly meetings are normally held from 10 A.M. Entrance is on the lower level adjacent to the parking lot. Non-member guest fee for meeting attendance is $3.
