This thirty first day of the twelfth month 1756

������ I Benjamin White of Crum Elbow Precinct in the County of Dutchess and Province of New York, being well in body thru mercy and of perfect mind and memory but knowing the uncertainty of this life and to avoid contention among my children do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say, I recommend my body to be buried at the discretion of my executors, and as touching my worldly estate I give demise and dispose of the same in the
following manner and form.

�������Imprimus it is my will and I do order that in the first place my just debts and funeral charges be paid and satisfied.

����� Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son Peter the farm or lott [sic.] of land whereon he now lives, to him his heirs and assigns forever

����� Item I give and bequeath to my beloved sons William and Andrew equally between them whom I appoint, constitute, make, and ordain to be my executors of this my last Will and Testament this farm or lott [sic.] of land whereon I now live with all my cows, horses, with all my livestock whatever together with all my farming utensils household goods and movables of all kind whatever likewise all my ready money and outstanding debts that are or shall become due to me. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above
written.

Dutchess County SS**� Be it remembered that on the seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty four personally came and appeared before me Bartholomew Crannell Surrogate of the said county John Huested of Dutchess County yeoman and being duly sworn on his oath declared that he saw Benjamin White sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Benjamin White bearing date of the thirty first day of the twelfth month in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty six and heard him publish and declare the same to be and contain his last will and testament that at the time thereof he the said Benjamin White was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent and that his name subscribed to the said will is of his own proper handwriting which he subscribed as a writing to the said will in the testator's presence and thus he the deponent vows William Palmer and Jacob Watson the�other witnesses to the said will subscribe[d] their names as witnesses thereunto in the testator's presence.

Dutchess County SS**� Be it also remembered that on the seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty four William White one of the executors of the within written will of Benjamin White likewise appeared before me the said Bartholomew Crannell and was duly sworn to the true execution and performance of the said will taking the oath of an executor as by law appointed and at the same time appeared before me Andrew White who being of the people called Quakers did sollemly [sic.] sincerely and truly declare and affirm that he would well and truly perform the same by executing the office of an executor as by law appointed before me
