Mary Colbert of the Beacon Cemetery Trail Committee, part of the Beacon Centennial Program and a member of the Beacon Historical Society has added the following information on this cemetery (04/26/2013).
"This small cemetery is on what was once the Brett family property. It has many names, including Byrnesville and Newlin-Teller. There is a greenway marker in front of the cemetery where it is called the Brett Family Cemetery c. 1717. Stone number 7 is that of Maria Wiltse, the only surviving stone, although it has toppled.
