Early settlers in the Town of Pharsalia (#12) of Original Twenty Towns taken from "1874 History of Chenango & Madison Counties, NY" by James H Smith; pub. 1880. Tried to use year, where stated, person and where they were from.

Pharsalia was formed from Norwich as Stonington, April 7, 1806, deriving its original name from Stonington,Conn, from whence the first settlers came.
