Babcock Cemetery

(a.k.a. Beckwith Plot)

The Babcock Cemetery is located in Pharsalia on the North side of State Rout 10, West of the junction with Stewart Road. In 1981 when Thomas Lloyd performed his survey there were 17 Schist headstones within an area of 25x25 feet. Unfortunately none of the inscriptions could be read.

Burdick Cemetery

Pharsalia


The Burdick Cemetery is located in Pharsalia on the South side of the Davis-Calhoun Road, near the boundary with Pitcher. It is a Cemetery of roughly rectangular shape, approximately 18x20 feet. When Thomas Lloyd surveyed the area in 1981 he reported all the gravestones had been removed. This was reported in the booklet Gone But Not Forgotten, by Thomas Lloyd and is used with the kind permission of the City of Norwich, which had authorized the work. However , some burials have been recorded by interested parties as noted .

Button Burial Plot

Pharsalia


The Button Burial Plot is located in Pharsalia on the South side of State Route 10, near the border with McDonough. When surveyed by Thomas Lloyd in 1981, there was one burial with a marble headstone in an area of approximately 15x20 feet. The grave was for G. Button; age 71; who died in 1854.

Champlin Cemetery

Pharsalia


The Champlin Cemetery in Pharsalia is reported to be on the West side of Tower Road, near the McDonough border. When Thomas Lloyd performed his Cemetery Survey in 1981 he was unable to locate the Site, and reported that "the stones belonging to this site are reported missing".

Mollie Burial Plot

Pharsalia


The Mollie Burial Plot is located in Pharsalia on the West side of Harrington Road, South of its junction with Fultner Road. It is a Cemetery of roughly rectangular shape, approximately 10x20 feet. There is one marble headstone in the area signed by Nora Spraque Schuptor, for a ____ Mollie; age 8; who died on 12 May 1916. There were also two graves without stones identified.

Neff Cemetery

Pharsalia


The Neff Cemetery is located in Pharsalia on the West side of County Road 10, between Fultner Road and County Road 7. When the area was surveyed by Thomas Lloyd in 1981 he reported the burial of Luther Neff, who had died on 11 Apr 1851. Lloyd reported the stones had been removed at that time.

Perry Cemetery

Pharsalia


The Perry Cemetery is located in Pharsalia on the East side of Coy Street, near the boundary with Plymouth. When Thomas Lloyd performed his survey in 1981 he recorded one marble headstone for Julia Perry, who died in 1904 at the age of 32. He also recorded two other headstones of schist material that were unreadable.

Tucker Burial Plot

Pharsalia


The Tucker Burial Plot in Pharsalia is reported to be on the North side of Center Road. When Thomas Lloyd performed his Cemetery Survey in 1981 he was unable to locate the Site, and reported that "This burial is said to be located on the Fremont Tucker farm in the Northwest corner, in the meadow near the wall by the road. The burial is supposedly that of an infant child of B. & D. Tucker who died between 1890 and 1930".

Vroman Cemetery

The Vroman Cemetery is located in Pharsalia on the East side of the Fred Stewart Road, between Swartz and Center Road. When Thomas Lloyd performed his survey of Cemeteries in 1981 he recorded 5 burials, unfortunately all the headstones had been removed so he was unable to record any names.
