Millard Fillmore Local History Award
My efforts maintaining the Cayuga County NYGenWeb Project and local historical society websites are credited with helping to share local history and bring visitors to the county for the purpose of researching their ancestry.  As a result of this and other contributions, I was honored as the recipient of the 2008 Millard Fillmore History Award for outstanding contribution of a community member in the area of local history.  This series of Millard Fillmore History Awards were presented at the annual banquet for Cayuga County NY municipal historians and historical societies on Friday September 19th, 2008.

This honor would not have been possible without all the terrific volunteers that continue to make the Cayuga County NYGenWeb Project websites such a wonderful asset for genealogy and local history researchers on the Internet.  Please accept my sincere THANK YOU, to everyone who has shared (and continue to share) their information, research, time & skills with the Cayuga County NYGenWeb Project websites.
