Pretty Wedding Takes Place In Cuba.

Cuba, Mar. 14.-- The home of Mrs. Frederic C. Saunders, West Main Street, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, March 11, when the marriage of Kathryn Ida Dewes and Richard Harley Hamil was solemnized at four o'clock.

The bridal party descended the stairs to the living room to the strains of the wedding march from Lohengrin, played by Mrs. Harry W. Cole of Rochester.  The ceremony was performed before the fireplace which was performed before the fireplace which was banked with palms, southern smilax and cathedral candles, with the Rev. Robert M. Pursley reading the marriage ritual.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, John Welker of Buffalo, was becomingly attired in a gown of rose beige Valence lace with caped bolero and matching accessories and wore a shoulder bouquet of bride's roses and freezias.  Mrs. Gardner Blood of Buffalo attended the bride as matron of honor and was gowned in Elcanor blue chiffon with a shirred bodice and wore a shoulder bouquet of Johanna Hill Roses.  The groom was attended by Gardner Blood.

Supper was served following the ceremony.  Covers were laid for ten at the bride's table which was centered with a crystal candelabra and lighted by white tapers.  The color scheme was silver and white.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Margaret Holdenecker of New York City.  Mr. Hamil, who is employed by the Buffalo Telephone Company as a student engineer, is the nephew of Mrs. Frederic C. Saunders, with whom he has made his home.

Mr. and Mrs. Hamil left Saturday evening for Kenmore, N.Y., where their future home is in readiness at 101 Eiseman Street.

Among the pre-nuptial events were an announcement party given by Mrs. and Mrs. Sidney A. Hixon of Cuba; dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas C. Dewes of New York City; variety shower given by Mrs. Guido Holtz of New York City; dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Cecil R. Ocon, Jr. of New YOrk City; dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. M. Lawton Hawver of Rochester; dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Francis Holdenecker of New York city; dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Denzil G. Perkins of West Clarksville; and a dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Wolf, Jr., of Keansburg, N.J.

Out-of-town guests in attendance were Mrs. Margaret Holdenecker and Nicholas R. Dewes of New York city, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. M. Lawton Hawver, Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Cole, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bechtold of Rochester and Eugene Robinson of Buffalo.
