Books - a great number of books from our library are listed.


Census Records - microfilms and documents for the South Shore and other areas of Nova Scotia, also the 1900 for Maine, US.


Cemetery Inscriptions - we have published four books (two are also on computer disks) containing most of the cemeteries of Lunenburg and Queens Counties.


Cemetery Records - records and transcriptions from various areas of Nova Scotia; funeral home records.


Church Records - records of many churches in Lunenburg County and elsewhere in Nova Scotia, including baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials and miscellaneous records. A few of these date back to 1750. Some of these sources are on microfilms, some are in hardcopy. We are constantly adding more church records as they become available. We also have funeral home records (see Cemetery Records above).


Family Genealogies - Eight pages of lists of the hundreds of family genealogies in our library. There are files, binders, books and microfilm.


Microfilm/Microfiche Collection - Provincial vital statistics records, census records, church records, will books and other information. Many of these holdings appear in the other categories on this page.


School Registers - School Registers from many parts of Lunenburg County.


Vital Statistics - Vital statistics records (births, marriages and deaths) in book, scrapbook, binder and microfilm form. Lunenburg Co. and many other areas of Nova Scotia.


Community and Church Histories, Lists and Indexes ... Documents including histories, census, indexes, school records, lists of settlers, and passengers, land grants, assessment records, bills of sale, immigration and early settlers.


Genealogical Aids ... Our library has numerous publications that may be of help in genealogy, including methods of conducting research, resources and genealogical organizations.


Genealogical and Historical Documents ... A collection of genealogical and historical magazines and newsletters.


Miscellaneous Resource Materials ... Our library also contains vital statistics, full text obituaries, probate records, wills, administration papers, directories, maps, local biographies, autobiographies, diaries, and reminiscences. Currently on extended loan from Lighthouse Publishing Limited are microfilmed issues of the Bridgewater Bulletin.
