References for:

Finley William            (25/11/1853-1956)

[I have found 4 references to his birthday, cen1871=1854, cen1891=1853, cen1901=1858 and his Tombstone says 1851.  I'm inclined to believe 1853 because it was given by his mother in cen1871 and by himself in cen1891 when he was a relatively young man.  Also, if you transpose the last digit of his age and birth year in cen1901, that is; born 1858, age 43 becomes born 1853, age 48.  This makes his age agree with 1891 and his birthyear agree with everything but his tombstone. - JD]
census 1871: age=16, living with his parents (ergo born in 1854)
          census 1891: age=38 (ergo born in 1853)
[1891 is the first entry where he is living in Morden - JD]
