MacPhee, Wendell
Ivan - 75, Whycocomagh, formerly of Truro, died December 7,
1996, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in
Shubenacadie, he was a son of the late Ezra and Catherine (MacPhee)
MacPhee. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a
former long-time plumbing contractor and was a former member of
Bible Hill Fire Brigade. Surviving are his wife, the former
Viola Wellwood; daughter, Wendy, Truro; sons, Darrell, Randell,
Truro; brothers, Elisha, Shubenacadie; Harry, Truro; sisters,
Bessie Pineo, Shubenacadie; Della Weeks, Kentville; Ethel
Bartlett, Lucy Cox, Truro; four grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his first wife, the former Susan Rath; brothers,
Ralph, Cyril; sisters, Etta, Eva. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday, both
in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Morley Bentley
officiating.
Burial in Harmony
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Harmony-Camden United
Church.

NEILSON, Aileen
- 95, of Waltham, Mass., died January 20, 1996, in Holywood,
Florida. Born in Minasville, she was the daughter of the late
Alfred and Armina (Ettinger) Tomlinson. She was an active member
of the Immanuel United Methodist Church and the United Women's
Society of the church; she was a member of the Waltham Weston
Hospital Association and a faithful volunteer at the hospital
for many years. She is survived by son, Donald Jr., Hollywood,
Fla.; sister, Mabel Stephens, Windsor; brother, Whitney
Tomlinson, Lubic, Maine; three grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her husband, Donald; brothers, Carl, Lewis,
Harris. Funeral service was held January 23 in Wentworth
Capel, Waltham, followed by a private burial. Donations may be
made to Immanuel United Church, Waltham.

Evelyn - 69, Upper Kennetcook, Hants Co., died November 30,
1996, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Infirmary Site. Born in
South Alton, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Maurice
and Lotta (Ells) Beach. She was a resident of Upper Kennetcook
all her married life. She was a member of the Hants North Dart
League. Surviving are son, Gary, at home; sisters, Vera Burns,
Janie White, Upper Kennetcook; Mabel Singer, Kennetcook;
brothers, Theodore, Harry, Henry, Upper Kennetcook; Clyde,
Kennetcook; Earl, South Alton; Charlie, New Minas; Walter,
Odessa, Ont. She was predeceased by her husband, Owen (John);
brothers, William, Stanley. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Withrow-MacMillan Funeral Home,
Upper Nine Mile River, Pastor Jacqueline Ross officiating.
Burial in St. Paul's United Church Cemetery, North Noel Road.
