DALRYMPLE, Roy
Lindsay - 79, Coldsteam, Colchester Co., died November 9,
1995, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Milford, Hants Co.,
he was a son of the late John Christie and Pearl Marion (Dalrymple)
Dalrymple. Prior to retirement, he was an engineer with the Bank
of Canada in Halifax. Other employers included Sheridan
Equipment, Toronto and Imperial Oil, Dartmouth. Surviving are
his wife of 54 years, the former Stella May Hilchey; daughters,
Donna Gorman and husband Edward, Dartmouth; Jacquelyn Newcomb
and husband John, Walton; Beverley, Timberlea; sons, Larry and
wife Janette, Stewiacke; Michael, at home; brothers, Laurie and
wife Lorraine, Russell and wife Gertrude, Dartmouth; Ruth
Howlett, Ontario; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday, memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, both
in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, Rev. David Morgan
officiating. Burial in Gays River United Church Cemetery.
Donations to Dartmouth General Hospital or any charity.
