RAFUSE, Clark
David - 85, Upper Vaughan, Hants Co., died October 3, 1995,
in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Upper Vaughan, he
was a son of the late David and Minnie (Armstrong) Rafuse. He
retired in 1975 as a self-employed lumberman and was also a
hobby farmer. He was formerly employed with Avon River Power
Company, Gordon Crossley Ltd. and the Avon Valley Golf and
Country Club. He was a life member of West Hants Progressive
Conservative Association and an adherent of Upper Vaughan
Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former
Olive Elsie Rafuse; daughters, Betty (Mrs. Basil Chandler),
Upper Vaughan; Barbara (Mrs. John Leckie), Arnprior, Ont.; Pearl
(Mrs. Dennis Mosher), Upper Vaughan; Karen, at home; sons, Paul
Lloyd, Gary, Frankie, Michael, Upper Vaughan; Owen, Falmouth; 32
grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 1
great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Mildred (Mrs. Percy Levy),
Lower Vaughan; Ruby (Mrs. Herbert Foreman), Surrey, B. C.;
brothers, Maxwell, Halifax; Harold, New Minas; Markus, Upper
Vaughan. He was predeceased by son, Clark Rafuse, Jr.; brothers,
Samuel, Floyd, Clifford "Cliff", Melbourne "Teddy", Donald,
Robert "Bob"; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Lindsay's
Windsor Funeral Home. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Windsor Baptist
Church, Rev. Garnet Parker and Rev. Arthur Eddy officiating.
Burial in Lower Vaughan Community Cemetery. Donations to Hants
Community Hospital or any charity.
