July 7, 1995, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in
Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Eugene and Eva
Adelia (Emmerson) Sampson. Surviving are her common-law husband,
Herman Whitehead; daughters, Betty Sampson, Elaine (Bubbles),
Waneta (Neat) Knowles, Three Mile Plains; Jenny, Windsor; sons,
Wayne, Kentville; Eric, Angus, Three Mile Plains; several
grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor (Mrs. Reginald States), Madeline
Sampson, Paula Atwell, Melda Sampson, Three Mile Plains;
brothers, Stanley Johnson, Halifax; Eugene Sampson, Antigonish;
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter,
Jo-Anne Sampson; sons, Herman, twins in infancy. Visitation 2-4,
7-9 p.m. Sunday in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, Windsor.
Funeral 2 p.m. Monday in Windsor Plains Baptist Church, Three
Mile Plains, Rev. Moses Adekola officiating. Burial in Maplewood
Cemetery, Windsor. Family flowers only. Donations to Canadian
Cancer Society or Windsor Plains Baptist Church.

ANTHONY, Herman
Eckhardth - 75, North Noel Road, Hants Co., died July 29,
1995, at home. Born at North Noel Road, he was a son of the late
Putnam Anthony and Margaret (White) (Anthony) Miller. He worked
in the lumber and construction industries. Surviving are his
wife, the former Pauline Harvey; daughters, Rae (Mrs. Thomas
Greene), Kennetcook; Nellie (Mrs. Hector McCarthy), North River;
son, Eddie, Noel Road; sisters, Janie (Mrs. Frank Green), North
Noel Road; Zella (Mrs. Bill Spares), Fredericton, N.B.; brother,
Garfield, Mount Uniacke; six grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by a son, Ellis; step-father, Joseph Miller;
brothers, Delbert, Edmond, Ernest. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m.
today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Withrow MacMillan Funeral
Home, East Noel, Rev. Bill Matthews officiating. Burial in
Kennetcook Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and
