Griffith Jenkins & family came to Digby from new York between 1750-1777 settling in Sissaboo. Griffith died 1790 Sissaboo. he may have also come with his mother and a brother (do not have their names). Griffith had 11 children but the first remained in New York, two others died in infancy. two sons Robert & Griffith went to Saint John, NB possibly after they arrived or on thir father's death & I have no trace of them so they may have come back to the Digby area. There were three daughters Sarah b 1764, Jane b 1772 and Susan b 1783. Son James b 1775 went to Yarmouth in 1797 where he resided before this Sissaboo or Digby is unknown, son John b 1781 went to Yarmouth in 1798 with brother William b 1783. William's had many children two of which settled in the Digby area - Griffith possibly in Weymouth, William in either Weymouth or Beaver River and John (minister) possibly somewhere around Weymouth on road between Digby and Yarmouth.
