Local newspapers often publish articles of interest on local history or genealogy. Unfortunately, without an index it is almost impossible to find the references. Several years ago, I compiled the following index to published genealogy articles in the Oxford Journal. According to the Union List of NS Newspapers, back issues of the Oxford Journal published before 1980 are only available on microfilm at PANS in Halifax and from the publisher in Oxford.

Please note that I have not examined these genealogies in any detail (I'm not personally researching any of these familes) so I cannot speak to the quality or completeness of the research.
