WEDDING - SCHURMAN - WARE

An unusual feature of the wedding of Catherine Munro SCHURMAN of Ithaca, NY to Mr. Raymond WARE of this city, which was solemnized last Saturday were the airplanes, which are owned by the bridegroom that hovered over the chapel during the ceremony, which was a very pretty compliment in his honor. The bride who is a daughter of Dr. Jacob Gould SCHURMAN, president of Cornell University was charming in her gown of white satin and lace and was given in marriage by her father. Dr. Henry Van DYKE of Princetown, N.J. performed the ceremony, which called out a large number of guests completely filling Sag Chapel where the ceremony took place.
Miss Helen SCHURMAN acted as Maid of Honor for her sister, while her cousin, Catherine and Beatrice SCHURMAN of New York with Miss Rena GINN of Morristown, N.J. were the other maids. Little Miss Helen DUNAM and Miss Dorothy SCHURMAN, the latter a sister of the bride served as ring bearers. Mr. Alvin WHITE of New York was best man and the staff of ushers included Mr. Winslow WARE, Mr. Elliott WARE of this city and Mr. Weld WARE of Morristown, N.J. all brothers of the groom, with Mr. Jerome FIELD and Mr. Thurman PEER of Ithaca, N.Y.
A number of cards reached here of the affair, where the bride is well known and the groom prominently identified with the “Racket” set - Boston Paper.

The bride is a relative of Mr. Elijah SCHURMAN of Oxford, N.S.

A quiet but pretty wedding took place at Advocate on Wednesday the 16th inst at the Baptist parsonage. The contracting parties being Harold A. FRASER of Parrsboro Shore and Georgie E. SHIRLEY of Apple River. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D.W. DIXON in the presence of the immediate relatives of the bride and groom. The happy couple will reside for the present at Apple River, N.S.
