DIED
At the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. ALEX G. McINTOSH, Wallace Grant, Mrs. Wm ANGEVINE, on Sunday, March 23rd, aged 29 years.

MARRIED
At Amherst, on April 23rd by, Rev. P.A. WALKER, ELLSWORTH STONEHOUSE and Miss FLORA FRASER, both of Fox Harbor.

MEMORIAL TABLET
The Journal man was shown a nice piece of engraving yesterday, the work of A.H. MYATT, Oxford’s monument dealer. It consisted of a white marble slab, about 2 x 3 feet and was for the Collingwood Methodist church, to be placed on the wall in honor of 2 soldier heroes, who made the supreme sacrifice in France. The tablet, engraved neatly with black lettering with the names of the heroes in gilt is a handsome and appropriate memorial and a credit to all concerned.
Following is the inscription.

In Loving Memory
Of
Private WELDON ADSHADE
97th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force
Who was Killed in Action at Vimy Ridge, France, on the 9th of April 1917

And
Private JAMES LESLIE COLBURNE
85th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force who was killed in Action at Cambrai, France on the 23rd of September 1918.

An not one soul has fallen in vain
Here was no useless sacrifice;
From this red sowing of white seed
New life shall rise.

Erected by the Adult Bible Class and Epworth League.
