Died - Ivan William CRAWFORD, 71, Lower Wentworth, on February 7 in Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash.

Died - Kathleen Rebecca (Brown) RUMSEY, 68, January 12 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.

Died - Enzor Garth TRENHOLM, 80, Lower Shinimicas, Feb. 11 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash.

Mel and Shirley LLOY, Millvale and their three children were left
homeless last Friday when fire destroyed their six-year-old home.

Died on January 31 at his home in River Philip, George Thomas LANGILLE, 25.

Thursday, February 11, 1971.

The home of Murray and Hazel MACLEOD, together with all its contents, was totally destroyed by fire on February 2. It was one of the oldest home in Pugwash and the MacLeods were the third generation to live in it.

Thursday, February 15, 1951

Oxford's once-proud high school, erected in 1898, was destroyed by fire early this morning bringing to a head the matter of a new school for Oxford, which has been the subject of controversy during the last few years.

First prize winners at the Kiwanis carnival on February 9 were:

Adults - Pearl DOREY, Mrs. Reg. MYATT, Mrs. Ed MARSHALL, Mrs. Henderson KING, Mrs. Harry RIPLEY.
Under 8 Years - Helen DICKIE, Donnie MYATT. 8 -12 years - Belle CLONEY, Jim CALDER. 12 - 16 Years - Jean Ella ALLEN, Jim GLEENIE and Tom O'RAFFERTY. Girls Race - Jean SLADE; Boys Race - Cyril WOOD.

Died at Roslin on February 11, Harry O'BRIEN, well-known farmer, age 75.

Thursday, February 13, 1941

Miss Flora G. SEAMAN, daughter of Councillor and Mrs. Merton Seaman of Mansfield, was among those receiving their nurses caps in a Toronto hospital on February 3.

The Trinity Y.P.I. held a sleigh ride on February 6. They spent a very enjoyable evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack HUDSON, Hudson's Corner.

Died at East Hansford on January 29, Mrs. Georgina ADSHADE, age 17.
