OBIT - Mrs. CLEMENTINE SEAMAN
The death took place on Saturday, July 5th of Mrs. CLEMENTINE SEAMAN, aged 65 years. Deceased was a daughter of JAMES and MARY VanBUSKIRK, West Pugwash and so has lived in this vicinity all her life.
She leaves to mourn, her aged mother, one brother CHARLES and one sister, Miss CAROLINE VanBUSKIRK all of whom are living on the old homestead. In 1886 she married the late ELIJAH SEAMAN, who predeceased her 7 years ago. From this union there was a family of 3, 1 son CHARLES and 2 daughters, Mrs. CARRIE GAYTON and Mrs. EARL DINGLE all of Pugwash.
The funeral was held at 2 pm, Monday, 7th, her pastor, Rev. M.B. WHITMAN officiating, taking as a basis for his remarks the test Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord; the reverend gentlemen spoke very highly of the deceased sister, who had been a faithful member of the Baptist church for as many years and was held in the highest esteem by neighbors and friends. ** Mrs. CHARLES POLLARD and baby NORMA of Methuen, Mass are visiting her mother, Mrs. GEORGE BLACK of this town.** Mrs. E.J. TREEN and daughter, Miss TREEN, who have been spending some months with relatives here have returned to Boston.
** Mrs. McHARA and her daughter, Miss VOILET DOUGHTY of Ben Avon, PA., are renewing acquaintances in town.
**Mr. & Mrs. CLARK of Mass are visiting the latters parents, Mr. & Mrs. R.S. THOMPSON.
JOHN A. STEWART, linetype operator on Sherbrooke, Que., Daily Record, is spending his vacation at the home of his brother, ALVARD T. STEWART, at Millvale.
Mr. & Mrs. C.L. CRITTENDEN and daughter AUDREY of Montreal, who are spending a few weeks in Nova Scotia are at present visiting at the home of Mrs. CRITTENDENs parents, Mr. & Mrs. A.E. STONEHOUSE.
Mrs. PERCY BORDEN and 2 children of Toronto are guests of Mr. & Mrs. S.P. BORDEN, Pugwash for a few days enroute to her girlhood home in Wolfville.
Mrs. J.C. REID returned on Sunday evening from a 4 month trip to his native land, Scotland. While there he visited Glasgow and other places and enjoyed himself immensely.
