Married at the residence of the bride's parents, Grant's Fall's, Oregon, on July 9th, CLAUDE P. SLADE of Oxford to Miss HAZEL GALETTE.

At Pinecroft, Aylesford, N.S. on July 1, 1914 by the Rev. H.O. PATTERSON, brother of the bride and assisted by the Rev. JOHN ASTBURY, father of the bridegroom, JOHN S. ASTBURY of Montreal to EFFIE PATTERSON of Aylesford, daughter of Mrs. PATTERSON and the late N.H. PATTERSON.

At Lethbridge, Alta on June 24th, by Rev Mr. REID, ROY L. SUTHERLAND, son of Mr. A. A. SUTHERLAND of Oxford to Miss HATTIE MAE, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. ROBT. REYNOLDS.

OBIT - J. HARVEY BROWNELL
The late J. HARVEY BROWNELL who passed away June 5th suddenly near Northport, died in the same house he was born in 58 yrs ago. He was the son of AARON BROWNELL, Sr. and a grandson of JEREMIAH BROWNELL, one of the pioneer settlers of Northport. Mr. BROWNELL was closely associated with the prosperity of Northport. For many years he kept the store now owned by W.R. BROWNELL, where he carried on a large business. He was also engaged in the lumbering trade often taking large contracts in different places.
In the fall of 1911 Mr. BROWNELL sold out his business and accompanied by Mrs. BROWNELL went to Calgary, Alta, where their family had preceded them. In May 1913 he returned home; Mrs. BROWNELL remained in the west until a short time ago, when she and her youngest daughter also returned home, arriving just one week before the death of the husband and father. Besides a wife, the deceased leaves to mourn the loss of a loving husband and kind and affectionate father, LOLA, Mrs. Wm. CHAPPELL of Calgary, NELLIE & CARL also of Calgary and GLADYS, who lives with her mother. A sister and 2 brothers also survive.
The funeral did not take place until June 13th, the service being conducted by the Rev. A.F. FISHER, of Merigomish a former pastor of the deceased. He was assisted by the Rev. W.J. HAMILTON of Northport.
