MARRIED
At Oxford on Friday evening Feb. 1st, 1917 by Rev. P. R. HAYDEN at the parsonage, ALBERT MYATT, son of Mr. & Mrs. SAMUEL MYATT to MINNIE MILLER, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. GEORGE MILLER, both of Oxford

Bomb. Geo. E. BISSETT of the 3rd C.G.A. St. John, NB spent a few days with his Uncle G. F. BISSETT, Main St. being sailing for England.

T. R. GRANT, formerly of Gulf Shore for 11 years resident of Dinsmore, Sask and a prominent Orangeman of that district, is visiting his home, Mr. GRANT made The Journal a pleasant call.

OBIT - Mrs. W. T. MAIN
The death took place in Minnedesa, Man of Mrs. W. T. MAIN - aged 81 years. She was born in Pictou Co. NS in 1837. Her husband preceeded her 2 years ago and since that time she has been living with her daughter, Mrs. FRANK COLBURN of Minnedesa. She leaves to mourn her loss four daughters and three sons. Mrs. SMITH, Mrs. ENGLISH, Mrs. Dr. ALTON of Vancouver, B.C. and Mrs. COLBURN, Minnedesa and ROBERT Minnedesa, ABNER, Cumb. Co. N.S. and HOWARD, Brandon, Man.
The remains were taken to Brandon and the funeral was held from
MacPherson & Bedfords undertaking parlors, on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mr. PRICE of Minnedesa officiating. Interment in Brandon Cemetery.

GEORGE LANE DIES IN SOMERVILLE, MASS.
Mr. ALFRED LANE has just received a telegram that his brother, GEORGE B. so well and so favourably known in Truro, died on the 22nd inst. at his home in Somerville, Mass. Mr. LANE, son of the late HUGH LANE, went to Boston a few years ago and started a restaurant in the American Hub, dealing largely in Nova Scotia fish, especially lobsters and oysters; and he had one of the best supplied and most up to date restaurants in all Boston. He was a great favorite and soon by his obliging ways gathered a large elietal around him.
In his immediate family he is survived by his widow and 2 children, IRENE and GEORGE.

There also survive 3 sisters and 2 brother. The sisters are: Mrs. A. W. GRAHAM, Oxford; Mrs. GEO. STEVENS, Wellington, Me and Mrs. W. H. BOONE, St. Stephen, N.B. and the brothers are ALFRED and SAMUEL of Truro ---- Truro News.

OBIT - OLIVER WOOD
On Sunday afternoon, Feb. 3rd at the home of his son, ARCHIE here occurred the death of Mr. OLIVER. Funeral service was conducted at the house on Tuesday by Rev. P. R. HAYDEN officiating. He leaves to mourn his loss 2 daughters, Mrs. CHARLES MILLS, Mrs. JAMES HOLLIS, both of Linden and 2 sons, ARCHIE of Oxford, DAVID of Springhill, and only surviving sister, Mrs. AMOS MILLER of Oxford.

Owing to the severity of the weather and condition of roads only a few of the friends and relatives were present. Burial took place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
