OBIT - Mrs. H. NELSON FILLMORE

Mrs. H.N. FILLMORE passed away on Friday night, Jan 31st, at her home at Oxford Jct, aged 80 years. She left to mourn their loss 4 daughters,

Mrs. C.H. LOWTHER, Oxford;
Mrs. A.B. FILLMORE and
Miss EMMA FILLMORE, Oxford Jct.
Mrs. R.L. BLACK, Weymouth;
Mrs. DANIEL COLBURN, Oxford Jct;
Mrs. SMITH CHAPMAN, Amherst;
Mrs. CHARLES BOUCHER, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan;
Miss MATILDA GORDON of BIDDEFORD, Me. also one brother
ISAAC GORDON, Oxford Jct.

The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in River Philip Baptist church, being well attended by relatives and friends. Pastor HAYDEN conducted the funeral service. The burial occurred in the River Philip cemetery. Mrs. FILLMORE's husband predeceased her 5 years ago.

OBIT - MRS. ISAAC PEERS

Mrs. PEERS, widow of the late ISAAC PEERS, passed away Wednesday morning. She was a lady of pleasing disposition and will be missed a wide circle of friends. She leaves the following children: 4 daughters,

Mrs. A.H. MYATT of Oxford;
Mrs. GEO L. DUNCAN, Trenton;
Mrs. EDWARD SMITH, Taunton and 4 sons,
EZEKIEL and JOHN and CHARLES in United States,
also one brother,
Councillor E.B. McDOUGALL, and 2 sisters
Mrs. WESLEY BLACK of Roslin and
Mrs. J.W. HENDERSON of Pugwash.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. J.W. O'BRIEN officiating, assisted by Rev. P.R. HAYDEN.

OBIT - EDDIE MOORE

The death of EDDIE MOORE, a son of Mr. WILLIAM MOORE of Mansfield, occurred on Tuesday. Young MOORE arrived a short time ago from the Canadian West. He contacted influenza on the way and was so seriously ill when he arrived at Oxford Jct. that he was unable to reach home. Rev. P.R. HAYDEN officiated at the funeral service, which was held on Thursday afternoon, Councillor E.B. MacDOUGALL of Oxford being funeral director.

OBIT - Mrs. SAMUEL P. RUSHTON

Mrs. SAMUEL P. RUSHTON died at her home at Birchwood on Tuesday, Jan 28th, aged about 90 years. The funeral was held on Thursday. Mr. ARCHIBALD STANFORD conducting the service. She is survived by an aged husband, 94 years old, also one son, GEORGE.

Tragedy At Amherst
W. SALTMAN, accountant for the Dominion Express Co., on Saturday last, was found hanging from a closet door in his room at the house where he boarded. He was of a retiring nature, at times morose. The manager and staff of the Express Co speak of him in the highest terms. No cause is known for the deed. Deceased belongs to Mahone Bay.

At Amherst, NS Jan 28th, 1919 by the Rev. HORACE E. DIBBLEE, Rector FRANK BOUTILIER and MABEL BLISS ARTHUR, both of Halifax, NS.

At Amherst, NS, Jan 29th, 1919 by the Rev. HORACE E. DIBBLEE Rector, ALBERT HENRY SMITH and MAUD, daughter of CHARLES WALKER both of Amherst, NS.

BORN
At Oxford on Feb. 5th to Mr.& Mrs. WILLIAM MILLER, a daughter.

Victoria
The stork recently visited the home of Mr. & Mrs. EDGERTON BETTS and presented them with a fine boy.

Mr. & Mrs. ERNEST THOMPSON who were recently married, after spending a few days with the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. DUNCAN ROSS proceeded to Springhill, where they will reside.
