At Amherst, on June 18th, by Rev. C.W. ROSE, BEATRICE HELENA LAWS and FREDERICK ARNOLD COCHRANE.

WEDDING - GUEST - HEWSON
Amherst, N.S., June 28th

The marriage of Miss MARIE OLEVIA HEWSON, teacher of Arts and Craft of Mount Allison Ladies College, daughter of Mrs. GEORGE D. HEWSON of Rupert Street, this town, took place at 4 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride. The officiating clergymen were Rev. Dr. WIGLE and Rev. R.E. FAIRBAIRN. Varieties of June garden flowers in great profusion were artistically arranged for the occasion.

Miss GERTRUDE BORDEN played wedding music. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr. HARVEY L. HEWSON, wore a gown of Heniton lace over cred de chene with georgette and pearl trimmings and conventional bridal veil with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and wore the groom’s gift, a necklace of pearls.

Mr. & Mrs. GUEST left on the Maritime for a trip to White Mountains via Quebec city, the bride wearing a suite of dust colored gabardine, with hat to match. They will reside in Winnipeg, where Mr. GUEST is associated with the editorial staff of the Winnipeg Free Press.
