Died - Norman Ralph THOMPSON, 77, Oxford, Oct. 29 in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.

A large barn and one beef steer, owned by Garnet FISHER of Shinimicas Bridge, were destroyed by fire on Friday night. The estimated loss is around $6,000.

Died - Judge Thomas A. GILES, 53, prominent Amherst lawyer, on October 23.

The fifth and largest craft to leave the ways since spring was launched at Wallace on October 27, when the 125-ton motor vessel "ABAMA" took the water. The Cumb. Shipbuilding Co. have started work on a 150-foot cruiser and a 64-foot boat.
