Civil Records of deaths were originally recorded from 1864 to 1877 inclusive.  These records are available at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia, 6016 University Avenue, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 1W4.   Death records completed since October 1, 1908, are held with the Deputy Registrar General, P. O. Box 157, Halifax, NS  B3J 2M9.
